The easy-to-apply smooth can be used in areas with elevated air temperatures. It is a formulation that is an alternative to traditional smoothing, which is subject to mechanical damage when exposed to an open flame source.
Functional fire gypsum is a preparation with which perfectly smooth and even surfaces can be obtained. They provide a finish for the walls of structures exposed to open flames and extreme temperatures of up to 650 degrees Celsius. Proven and very thoroughly tested by specialists involved in the construction of furnaces, smooth is a product that is also available from our online shop. It can be used to coat the walls and chambers of fireplaces with it. In addition, it is worth applying to walls adjacent to wood-burning cookers and cookers built into surfaces, located in living rooms, dining rooms or kitchens.
Heat-resistant smoothing
Modern fire-retardant gypsum is a product with which it is possible to achieve an open-fire-resistant, 3 to 6 mm thick coating. This high-end preparation can be applied over dry plaster. It dries very quickly, as three days are sufficient for it to achieve the right consistency. Please note that this fire-resistant smooth requires to be applied to surfaces at a temperature of not less than 20 degrees Celsius. This allows it to dry quickly and there are no problems with subsequent cracking of the layer applied to walls located near fireplaces or other heating structures. The smoothing we recommend can be applied directly to Vitcas CS fireplace boards or Vitcas HT high-temperature boards.
