A pizza oven kit simplifies some of the work but does not mean that after delivery the entire device is ready for use. Brick construction gives more control over the geometry and at the same time requires a carefully designed project. Compare both options for the same location and method of baking.
Determine what the kit actually contains
Check the chamber, floor, doors, chimney, insulation, and assembly materials on the list of the specific product. Do not assume that the element visible in the photo is included in the delivery. Separately add the base, casing, and all parts made on site.
The module's instructions should specify its support, method of connection, and readiness for the first heating. The installation site must allow for the delivery and placement of parts. Measure the passage to the garden and the space needed during work, not just the finished outline of the oven.
Building with bricks requires more decisions
For a chamber built on site, select refractory bricks Vitcas for the specific function. The drawing includes the floor, arch, entrance, and joint with the flue. It is also necessary to plan cuts, joints, insulation, and water protection.
Outdoor Oven Cement applies to appropriate masonry constructions and the assembly of compatible modules. This does not mean identical usage in every oven. Match material requirements with the instructions of the selected solution.
Compare the total cost and schedule
- Chamber and floor materials along with the justified spare allowance.
- Support, insulation, casing, and flue.
- Transportation, tools, cutting, and assembly time.
- Drying, first heating, and subsequent access for repairs.
Such a summary helps to notice tasks not covered by the cost of the chamber alone. For the masonry variant, also check the whether the proposed geometry can be built before choosing it solely for savings on delivery. Keep a complete list and drawing so that later changes do not remove the required layer or part of the equipment.
